Steps

  1. Step 1: Press Create Activity and press Create on Carnival.

It is part of Pro. It sits in the Activities section.

    On your computer
  2. Step 2: Choose a topic, a worksheet or scratch. Carnival questions are multiple choice.

You can write a hint for each question, for the Hint lifeline.

  3. Step 3: Press Read aloud to tick the questions students can hear.

Students tap a speaker button on their device.

  4. Step 4: Press Assign. Choose 30 sec or 60 sec per question, and which lifelines to allow.

The lifelines are 50/50, Hint, Freeze Time and Ask Audience. Each can be used once per game.

  5. Step 5: Share the link, code or QR code with your class.

Common questions

What does each lifeline do?

50/50 hides two wrong answers. Hint shows your hint. Freeze Time pauses the timer for 15 seconds. Ask Audience shows a poll weighted toward the right answer.

Can students go back to a question?

No. A Carnival has no back or forward buttons, and the answer feedback appears straight away.
