Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 September 2026

Welcome to Cazuz! These are the friendly ground rules for using cazuz.net. Nothing tricky — just the basics that keep the tool safe and fair for everyone.

💛 The short version
  • Cazuz has a free plan for making and playing classroom activities, and paid Pro, Complete and School plans for more.
  • Be kind, and only upload things you’re allowed to use.
  • AI-written questions are drafts to review before you give them to students.
  • Paid plans are opt-in and renew until you cancel — the refund policy explains how cancelling works.
The formal details are below.

1. About Cazuz

Cazuz is a classroom platform for teachers: Lessons (present your slides with questions inside), Games (Live Quiz and Tug of War) and Assignments (self-paced quizzes and Carnival), run with students in person or remotely.

The Service is under active development and new features are added regularly. The Free plan is free to use. Paid plans (Pro, Complete and School) are optional and opt-in, and are described in section 14 and on the pricing page. Nothing is charged unless you choose a paid plan.

2. Eligibility

You may register for an account only if you are a teacher, school administrator, parent, or other educator aged 18 or older. By signing up you confirm you meet this requirement.

Children may use the Service only as students through a class link or QR code shared by their teacher. Children do not create accounts and we do not collect personal information from children beyond the temporary nickname their teacher chooses for class. See our Privacy Policy for details.

3. Account Registration & Security

When you create an account you provide:

  • Your full (real) name
  • A display name (nickname shown in the dashboard)
  • Your email address
  • Optionally: your school name and phone number

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your password secret
  • All activity that happens on your account
  • Notifying us promptly of any unauthorised use through the feedback form or at support@cazuz.net

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful to children
  • Impersonate any person, school, or organisation
  • Use the Service to harvest student data for purposes outside teaching
  • Attempt to break, probe, or circumvent the Service’s security
  • Use the Service to spam, advertise, or solicit personal information from students
  • Resell access to the Service without our written permission
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or your local jurisdiction

5. Your Content & Licence

You retain ownership of every question, image, and activity you create on Cazuz. By uploading content you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not sell or license it to third parties.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You confirm that you have the right to upload it (including any images) and that it does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, or privacy.

6. AI-Generated Content

Cazuz offers an AI assistant (powered by Google’s Gemini API) that can generate quiz questions from a topic, or from a worksheet you upload (the text extracted from your file is sent to Google’s Gemini API to draft the questions). AI output can be inaccurate, biased, or generate content inappropriate for your students.

You are solely responsible for reviewing every AI-generated question before publishing it to students. Cazuz is not liable for the accuracy, appropriateness, or pedagogical soundness of AI output. Treat AI suggestions as a draft — never a finished lesson.

7. Student Data & Responsibility

Cazuz is designed so children never need an account. When a student joins a game, an assignment or a lesson they choose (or are auto-assigned) a nickname; we record their answers and time taken. We do not collect their real name, school ID, email, exact location, or any other personal information beyond what your school’s lesson would already require.

Teachers and schools using Cazuz with students are responsible for complying with their school’s parental-consent rules and any applicable child-data-protection laws in their jurisdiction.

8. Intellectual Property

“Cazuz”, the Cazuz logo, and the look and feel of cazuz.net are property of the operator of Cazuz. All third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any of these marks.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Account → Data → Delete my account. Deletion has a 30-day window during which you can cancel it from the same page; after that window your account and personal data are gone for good.

If you would rather we did it for you, ask through the feedback form or email support@cazuz.net, and we will delete your account and personal data within 30 days of receipt.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continued operation creates a serious risk to other users or to the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any content (especially AI-generated) is accurate or appropriate.
  • We are not responsible for student behaviour during games run on the Service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cazuz and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed US$100 (one hundred US dollars) or the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cazuz and its operator from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) content you uploaded.

13. Changes to the Service & Pricing

The Service is under active development. We may add, remove, or change features at any time without notice. We may also change plan prices or what each plan includes; for a paid plan we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change takes effect on your next renewal. The Free plan will continue to exist.

14. Paid Plans, Billing & Refunds

Cazuz offers a Free plan and optional paid plans — currently Pro and Complete, both for an individual teacher, and School, licensed per teacher under a separate agreement. What each plan includes, and its price, is shown on the pricing page and at checkout.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Paddle takes your payment, applies the tax that applies in your country, issues your receipt, and handles refunds. Cazuz never sees or stores your card details.

  • Renewal. A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel.
  • Cancelling. You may cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then your account returns to the Free plan. Your content is kept; the Free plan limits apply to what you create from then on.
  • Refunds. As set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, including a 14-day money-back guarantee on a first paid purchase.
  • What is included with a plan. Complete includes a RosterFlow licence key on a first yearly subscription: one year, two roster builds, one device. It is issued once and is not renewed automatically with the plan.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Paddle will retry; if it keeps failing your account returns to the Free plan.
  • School plans are invoiced and governed by the written agreement with the school.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any change. If a change is material we will email all teachers with active accounts. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator is established. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

18. Contact
