A student keeps reconnecting

A student who drops off reconnects by themselves, and the room keeps their seat for about a minute. If stuck, they press Reconnect now.

Try these, in order

  1. Step 1: Wait a few seconds. The student's device shows Reconnecting… and keeps trying on its own.

The room holds the seat for about a minute, so a short Wi-Fi blip costs nothing.

    On your computer
  2. Step 2: If the screen says Connection lost, it reloads by itself after a 10-second countdown. The student can press Reconnect now to skip the wait.

It tries this up to 5 times in a row. This can also happen right after Cazuz is updated.

  3. Step 3: If it still cannot connect, the student presses Leave lesson, goes to cazuz.net/play and types the code again.

A student who comes back sees a list to find their own name.

  4. Step 4: If many students drop at the same moment, check the school Wi-Fi and your own computer's connection.

Keep your host tab open while the lesson runs.

Common questions

Does a student lose their score when they reconnect?

Not if they come back within the hold time. The room keeps their seat, so they return with the same name and score.

A student closed the tab by mistake. Can they get back in?

Yes. They go to cazuz.net/play, type the code and pick their name again, unless you have locked the lobby.
