Check type and size: lessons take .pdf or .pptx, worksheets take .docx, .pdf, .pptx or .xlsx. A file that is too big is refused when you pick it.
Try these, in order
Step 1: Check the file type. A lesson accepts only .pdf and .pptx. A worksheet accepts .docx, .pdf, .pptx and .xlsx.
Older .doc, .ppt and .xls files need saving again in the newer format first.
On your computerStep 2: Check the size. If a file is too big, Cazuz says so when you pick it: save a smaller copy or split it in two.
For a big deck, export it again at a smaller size or split it into two lessons.
Step 3: Check the number of slides. A lesson holds 30 slides on Free and 80 on Pro and Complete. A PDF with more than 80 pages is refused.
Split a longer deck into smaller ones and upload them as separate lessons.
Step 4: If it says the PDF "may be corrupted or password-protected", open it on your computer, remove any password and save a fresh copy.
A deck that is still over 16 MB after Cazuz compresses it is also refused. Splitting it fixes that.
Step 5: If it says The connection is slow, keep the page open. It keeps trying. You can also press Retry.
Do not close the tab while the pages are turning into slides.
Step 6: For a worksheet that says it "couldn't find readable text", the file is probably scanned pictures. Try the Word version instead.
Cazuz reads the text inside the file, so a picture-only PDF has nothing to read.
Common questions
Can I upload a PowerPoint with animations?
You can, but Cazuz turns each slide into a still picture, exactly like a PDF. The animations do not play.
Does Cazuz keep my worksheet file?
No. For a worksheet, the file is read in your browser and only its text is sent on. The file itself never leaves your device.
