No sound
Read aloud plays on each student's device: check it is on for the question, the sound is up, and the student taps the speaker.
Try these, in order
Step 1: In the lesson editor, check Read question aloud is switched on for that question. It then reads Question read aloud.
Students only get a speaker button on questions where you turned it on.
On your computerStep 2: Ask students to tap the speaker button next to the question. Nothing plays by itself.
The first tap can take a moment while the voice loads.
Step 3: Check each device's volume is up, it is not muted, and its sound is going to speakers or a headset that works.
The sound comes out of the student's device, not the classroom board.
Step 4: Check the device is online. The voice is fetched over the internet.
A video slide plays on the board unless you switched on Play on student devices for it.
Common questions
Which languages can read aloud speak?
English (US and UK), Arabic (UAE) and French. Cazuz picks the language from the words in the question.
Will the classroom board read the question out?
No. The speaker button is on the student devices, so thirty devices never talk at once.
